A beloved New York tradition has been given a 21st century makeover by Lighting Science Group Design Works, which helped create a bigger, brighter yet more energy-efficient New Year’s Eve Ball, the illuminated orb symbolically lowered at the exact turn of the year in Times Square. The tradition dates back to 1907, but today’s giant Waterford crystal ball, boasts more than 32,000 LEDs and up to 4.3 billion possible color combinations for a kaleidoscope of hues.

Imagine the first time a light bulb ever went on: How it pierced the dark where before there had only been a flame. Over a hundred years later, the industry is still in the dark, but about to receive a wake up call. And we say not a moment too soon.
Rather than a company that has inventors, we are a group of inventor with a company. We also have a mission: nothing less than to change the World. We want quality of light to stop coming with compromise, and we're making it so.
In short, our light is brilliant even when it isn't on. So to our employees, friends and customers we say: get ready to see more than ever before.
