Lighting and Energy Conservation

Energy conservation and environmental responsibility have become some of the most important issues in the lighting industry today–and Lighting Science is becoming a leader in developing innovative "green" LED lighting solutions.

We are continually working to advance LED technology, improve performance and develop new applications for LEDs where conventional lighting sources were previously the only option. By bringing innovative new LED products to market and designing green lighting solutions for a broad range of industries and customers, we are helping to reduce energy use–and conserve natural resources–around the globe.

Lighting Science is also helping to move the industry forward through partnerships with national organizations and efforts that are improving energy efficiency standards for LED technology, including the California Lighting Technical Center, the Lighting Research Center and the federal ENERGY STAR program. We participate in industry-leading energy conservation conferences and other events around the world. We also support the US Department of Energy's initiatives to promote the use of high-efficiency lighting to reduce carbon emissions–and we provide the LED lighting solutions that make it possible.
